Small regulated firms in the UK and Cyprus.

Wolsten Studios is for law firms, RICS-regulated surveying firms and accountancy practices of roughly 10 to 200 people. At that size an insurer, a regulator or a client can put the same questions to you as to a much larger firm, and you don’t have a digital team of your own to answer them.

What the three have in common.

Someone outside the firm wants a written answer about how it uses AI. For solicitors in England and Wales, AI questions now appear on professional indemnity insurance (PII) proposal forms, although not every firm completes a full form every year. For RICS-regulated surveyors, the RICS standard in force since 9 March 2026 asks for written AI records wherever AI has a material impact on the service. For any firm, it can be a client's due-diligence questionnaire with an AI section and a deadline.

Around that sits the everyday work nobody is employed to do: the annual AML figures, client data spread across spreadsheets and inboxes, and a website, Microsoft 365 estate and set of IT suppliers that nobody owns. That work has to land somewhere. Without a digital team, it lands on a partner or a practice manager who already has a full-time job. Wolsten Studios is the part-time head of digital who takes it on.

Who it's for.

Law firms

Solicitors' PII proposal forms in England and Wales now ask about AI, and a client's due-diligence questionnaire may ask too. Then there are the annual AML figures, client and matter data that lives in inboxes, and systems nobody owns.

For law firms

RICS-regulated surveying firms

The RICS standard on responsible AI use has applied since 9 March 2026. Where AI plays a material part in your surveying work, it requires registers, policies and supplier checks in writing.

For surveying firms

Accountancy practices

Insurers and clients have started asking professional firms how they use AI and who checks the output. AML records and client data need to be somewhere you can find them.
